Interpublic Group has received recognition for its commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives and transparency this year.

Achievements include a fourth consecutive appearance on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (North America), ranking 14th on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index, and securing a place on Newsweek’s Most Responsible Companies list for the third consecutive year.

IPG was also acknowledged for its dedication to disability inclusion in the workplace and featured on USA Today's inaugural list of America’s Climate Leaders 2023. Additionally, IPG's Sustainalytics rating improved to the lowest risk level, ranking first among advertising peers and fourth among media peers.

“As a purpose-driven company, IPG understands our responsibility to conduct business in a way that supports our employees and the environments in which we work,” said Jemma Gould, IPG’s Chief Sustainability Officer. “We are proud to be recognised for our ESG initiatives and disclosures, and we’ll continue to work toward our business-driven ESG goals in the year ahead,” she continued.

Channing Martin, Chief Diversity and Social Impact Officer at IPG, highlighted the company's honour in creating an inclusive workplace for diverse talent. Martin stressed the global responsibility IPG holds in reaching clients’ diverse audiences and the importance of having teams that reflect today’s global consumer.

Key awards include the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (North America) recognising sustainability performers, the Corporate Equality Index for LGBTQ+ friendly policies, and America’s Most Responsible Companies ranking by Newsweek and Statista, Inc. USA Today and Statista’s “America’s Climate Leaders” list acknowledges companies achieving significant reductions in emissions. Sustainalytics, a leader in ESG research, ranked IPG as "negligible risk," the highest rating.

IPG remains committed to strengthening its environmental, social, and governance programs each year, focusing on ambitious climate goals and commitments to diversity and inclusion. The 2023 ESG Report is expected in the coming months, with past reports available on the company’s website.
