Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is aiming to be a world leader in sustainable energy solutions.

To further this goal, CEO Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer met with a high-level group from PowerChina. This group included key figures like Peng Gang (Vice President of PowerChina-Intl and President of PowerChina MENA) and Gao Fei (Vice President of PowerChina MENA).

Their discussions focused on how DEWA and PowerChina can work together on various projects. This includes developing renewable energy sources, creating smarter energy grids, improving water infrastructure, and even starting joint research initiatives. Both DEWA and PowerChina are interested in forming a long-term partnership that allows them to work on these projects together.

Al Tayer highlighted DEWA's dedication to sustainability and innovation. He mentioned their commitment to the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050. These ambitious plans aim to switch Dubai to 100% clean energy by 2050.

PowerChina is known for its experience in clean energy, water management, and sustainable development. They are excited to collaborate with DEWA. This partnership would allow them to explore new projects and share their knowledge in the energy and water sectors.
