300 Decision-Makers will Meet at Bahrain Sustainability Forum to Talk about Climate Change

As people pay more attention to climate change, Bahrain will host more than 300 decision-makers on Jan. 12 to discuss net-zero goals at the Sustainability Forum Middle East.
The conference will begin with a keynote address from Mark Thomas, group chief executive of Oil and Gas Holding Company, followed by seminars led by senior executives from KPMG, Bahrain Institute for Banking and Finance, Deloitte Middle East, and EY-Parthenon.
“The Kingdom of Bahrain is keen to enrich the understanding of all sectors related to energy, environment, and climate change, building on sustainable development achievements and doubling efforts in the coming years,” bin Daina said in a statement.
The forum will cover subjects from Egypt's COP27 event as well as the path ahead for COP28, which will be hosted in the UAE in November 2023.
“Organising such a forum reflects the private sector’s belief in the pivotal role of the environment in achieving sustainable development,” bin Daina added.
Also, the meeting will set net-zero goals for the Middle East and North Africa region in terms of funding and how climate regulations change over time.
