Baker Hughes and Pan American Energy Corp. have entered into a partnership to develop and pilot Leucipa™, an automated field production solution by Baker Hughes.

Leucipa aims to improve production efficiency and reduce carbon emissions in the oil and gas industry.

Maria Claudia Borras, executive vice president of Oilfield Services & Equipment (OFSE) at Baker Hughes, said, "Our industry has been thinking about automating field production for a long time. This would make operations smarter and more proactive. Leucipa goes beyond typical data collection and analysis with a software solution that focuses first on the specific outcomes that an operator wants to achieve—a clear differentiator. We are excited to have Pan American Energy as a launch customer for this industry-changing solution, and we applaud their commitment to leading the industry with a digital first mindset.”

Leucipa is a personalised energy management platform that offers analysis, insights, and real-time recommendations based on reservoir expertise and production insights. It aims to provide a user-friendly experience, replacing traditional complex data platforms with a scalable, fast, and simple ecosystem where data is always accessible.

“Pan American Energy has a long history of working with Baker Hughes and is pleased to support the piloting and development of Leucipa™,” said Cristian Sarhan, General Manager, Engineering & Technical Production Assurance, Pan American Energy.
