  • Users can now track their carbon emissions and buy carbon credits.

  • The aim is to educate travellers on the importance of reducing their carbon emissions while travelling.

BNZ Green, a Mumbai-based leading pioneer in blockchain-based climate solutions, has partnered with EaseMyTrip, one of India’s largest online travel booking platforms, to make travelling options more sustainable.

The collaboration's primary goal is to help travellers reduce their environmental impact when they travel.

To this end, BNZ Green has developed technology that tracks the carbon emissions of flights. Travellers or users can use this technology, now available on EaseMyTrip, to see how much carbon their trip produces.

Subsequently, they can offset their emissions by purchasing verified carbon credits, which help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and support environmental projects. These transactions are securely recorded on a blockchain, ensuring transparency and trust.

This partnership will initially be launched in India and expanded to other countries, such as the UAE, later.

Dr. Neha Jain, Co-Founder of BNZ Green, said: “We're excited to collaborate with EaseMyTrip on this forward-thinking project. By integrating our APIs into their popular platform, we're bringing sustainable travel options to millions of users. This partnership demonstrates how technology can be leveraged to create meaningful change in the fight against climate change.”

Rikant Pittie, Co-Founder of EaseMyTrip, commented: “At EaseMyTrip, we recognize our responsibility to promote sustainable travel options. Our partnership with BNZ Green aligns perfectly with our vision to offer innovative solutions that benefit both our customers and the environment. By providing transparent carbon footprint data and easy offset options, we're empowering our users to make Eco-conscious decisions without compromising on their travel experiences.”
