MISMO Releases ESG Guide for Real Estate Finance
MISMO®, the standards body for real estate finance, has published new resources to help lenders, investors, and trading partners find ESG data points.
The ESG strategy allows investors to invest in line with their values and goals. In housing finance, ESG investing means developing and financing housing that is sustainable, socially responsible and governed transparently.
MISMO’s ESG Community of Practice, with ESG leaders, created the reference material, which includes:
Implementation Considerations Document: An overview of the process used to create the Reference Guide, with Use Cases and Disclosure/Legal Considerations.
E and S Reference Guide: A list of terms mapped to the framework, with a rationale for why certain terms are E or S.
