Air Liquide Issues €500M Green Bond for Green Projects

Air Liquide successfully placed a new €500 million green bond, furthering their commitment to sustainable growth.

The funds will directly support key energy transition projects, particularly in low-carbon hydrogen, carbon capture, and low-carbon air gases. This issuance follows their inaugural green bond in 2021, solidifying Air Liquide's position as a regular ESG issuer.

The offering, with a 10-year maturity and 3.466% yield, was oversubscribed by investors, demonstrating strong confidence in Air Liquide's sustainability initiatives. The bond received strong credit ratings of "A" from Standard & Poor's and Scope Rating, and "A2" from Moody's.

"The success of this second green bond issuance illustrates the investors’ confidence in Air Liquide’s ability to implement technologies and pioneer projects that contribute to the decarbonization of our activities as well as help our customers lower their carbon footprint," said Jérôme Pelletan, Group CFO.
