Warner Music Group (WMG), an American multinational entertainment and record label company, has released its 2022 environment, social, and governance (ESG) report. The report reaffirms the company's commitment to ESG, which includes new targets on People, Workplace, and DEI agendas. Additionally, the company announced a partnership for more sustainable records.

WMG became the first major music company to release a standalone ESG report last year, which marked a shift towards a more formal approach to addressing ESG issues. The report also sets new goals for 2023 and beyond, showing that the company is still committed to tackling these issues.

The report coincides with WMG’s CEO transition and was introduced by WMG’s new CEO, Robert Kyncl, and outgoing CEO, Steve Cooper.

Robert Kyncl said, “Music is a powerful and positive force, and WMG is filled with passionate change-makers and champions of culture. This report shows how, under Steve's leadership, the company has built a strong foundation for its continued growth. As we chart the next phase of our long-term growth, we’re committed to our ESG efforts as a critical part of our plan for WMG as a more dynamic, inclusive, and sustainable company.”
