Veracyte, Inc. has unveiled its first-ever Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report. The 2023 ESG Report establishes a framework for Veracyte's ESG accomplishments and highlights the company's plans to expand on those achievements in the coming years.

Veracyte's CEO, Marc Stapley, stated, "As we've expanded, we've recognised our duty to advance our ESG initiatives. Our first ESG report showcases how our mission and values are intrinsically integrated into our operations. It highlights not only our commitment to enhancing patient outcomes but also our devotion to our shareholders, staff, business associates, and other stakeholders."

Veracyte's 2023 ESG Report presents the following key points:

  • Instituting a governance framework for ESG, comprising a top-level ESG Steering Committee and Board-level oversight of ESG issues through the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

  • Nurturing a varied and inclusive workforce, with women constituting 59% of the employees and 60% of the executive leadership team.

  • Boosting governance practices by presenting and suggesting approval of a plan to Veracyte's shareholders at the 2023 annual meeting to transition to a declassified Board of Directors.

  • Seeking BREEAM® certification for our new establishment being constructed in Marseille, France.

The 2023 ESG Report includes information obtained from established frameworks, such as the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) standards.
