TechnipFMC Wins NOIA ESG Excellence Award
TechnipFMC has secured the prestigious National Offshore Industries Association's ESG Excellence Award this year.
The honour stands as a testament to the company's unwavering dedication to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, encompassing their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and pioneering advancements in energy transition technologies.
Accepting the award on behalf of TechnipFMC, Jonathan Landes, President of Subsea, and Idalisse Bernier, the Global Environmental Director, graced the ceremony in Amelia Island, Florida.
In his acceptance speech, Jonathan Landes expressed, "Our approach to conducting business holds equal importance as the reasons behind our business pursuits. Winning this year's NOIA ESG Excellence Award is a resounding affirmation of our pledge to environmental responsibility, community impact, and steadfast integrity."
He further stated, "We remain unwavering in our commitment to enhance industry performance and instigate substantial change through continuous innovation and global collaboration, all while adhering to stringent safety and ethical standards. The tireless efforts of our colleagues continue to fortify our ESG ethos, paving the path for a brighter future."
TechnipFMC's ESG endeavours encompass a broad spectrum of initiatives, ranging from environmentally conscious practices such as water conservation and renewable energy adoption to community support through the iVolunteer voluntary work programme and the promotion of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Their stringent focus on governance ensures the preservation of the integrity of their business. It is noteworthy that not all of these initiatives are encapsulated within their annual ESG Scorecard.
A member of the judging panel noted, "TechnipFMC excels across all the NOIA ESG Excellence Award criteria, boasting clear and concise goals, measurable milestones, and an impressive array of dashboards tracking both overarching and localised ESG objectives. Their proactive ventures into new offshore energy sectors, such as carbon capture and storage, floating wind, and long-term hydrogen, underscores their active involvement in the energy transition."
The judge added, "Their commitment to health, safety, environment, and DEI is evident and meticulously documented. Their efforts have raised the bar since the previous year, making them a leading contender in the ESG space."
