Technimark: EcoVadis Sustainability Leader

Technimark, a leading global manufacturing provider for healthcare, consumer packaging, and speciality industrial markets, has received a Silver medal from EcoVadis for its outstanding sustainability performance.

This recognition positions Technimark in the top 9% of assessed companies across all industries globally.

According to Brad Wellington, CEO of Technimark, the company has a long-standing history of being at the forefront of technology. They are utilising this legacy to drive their sustainability efforts while also prioritising their corporate responsibility and customer value creation. Wellington expressed satisfaction with the recognition from EcoVadis, acknowledging Technimark's endeavours to minimise their environmental footprint, empower their employees, and maintain the highest standards of business ethics.

Technimark's performance was evaluated based on 21 indicators categorised into four themes, namely Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Sustainable Procurement, and Ethics. The assessment methodology used by EcoVadis, a leading business sustainability ratings organisation, is aligned with international sustainability standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000. EcoVadis covers over 200 industry categories, 175 countries, and more than 100,000 companies worldwide.

According to Katie Distler, Vice President of ESG at Technimark, the partnership with EcoVadis helps establish customer trust and transparency. Technimark views its annual rating from EcoVadis as an essential measure of the company's progress in addressing sustainability issues that matter to stakeholders and the business. It also serves as a tangible symbol of the dedication of Technimark's global team members, who demonstrate a responsible business mindset every day. Technimark's EcoVadis rating has improved, and the company remains committed to continuous improvement.

Technimark proudly supports the UN Global Compact and actively participates in industry organisations such as the Association of Plastic Recyclers and the Healthcare Plastics Recycling Council. Leveraging its expertise and partnerships across the value chain, Technimark works towards advancing sustainability and product circularity in the industry. As part of its Ambition 2030, Technimark will soon announce updated company-wide goals that focus on climate, waste reduction, responsible sourcing, and employee engagement.
