Mobilezone was admitted as one of around 140 companies into the Swiss Stock Exchange's SPI ESG and SPI ESG Weighted sustainability indices.

The indices, introduced in early February 2022, will provide more transparency for investors looking to invest in Swiss shares of companies with a standardised and well-founded sustainability profile.

As of September 19, 2022, the mobilezone Group's shares have been admitted to the SPI ESG and the SPI ESG Weighted, the sustainable counterparts to the leading Swiss index SPI.

Markus Bernhard, CEO of the mobilezone Group, said:

"We have been pursuing the subject of sustainability for several years, above all in the field of repair and refurbishment of smartphones. Sustainability has been firmly anchored in our strategy for two years. For us, admission to both indices is a confirmation that we are on the right track."

Mobilezone approved its sustainability strategy in the summer of 2020 based on four pillars: employees, customers, smartphone cycle, and environmental management. Since the reporting period 2020, it has released a sustainability report under the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

To be accepted to the index, a company must adhere to specific ecological, social, and ethical norms and achieve the best possible grade (at least C+) from Inrate, the rating agency selected by the Swiss stock exchange SIX. The SPI index method is used to select the index components of the SPI ESG and SPI ESG Weighted. The components are ranked by their free-float market capitalisation.
