Schrödinger Releases First Sustainability Report

Schrödinger, Inc., a company that has a physics-based computational platform transforming the discovery of therapeutics and materials, has recently published its first-ever Corporate Sustainability Report on its approach and vision to corporate sustainability.
The report discloses key data about the company's corporate sustainability efforts in accordance with GRI and SASB reporting standards and outlines its achievements in 2022.
According to Ramy Farid, Ph.D., the CEO at Schrödinger, the company has always focused on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles that align with its mission of improving human health and quality of life.
The publication of the Corporate Sustainability Report is a significant milestone that formalises the company's strategy around key ESG issues that are vital to the company and its stakeholders, and Schrödinger plans to build upon this foundation in the years to come.
Schrödinger's newly developed corporate sustainability framework, called Value², is the basis of the Corporate Sustainability Report. The framework represents the company's core sustainability philosophy that building value for Schrödinger generates value for the world. The Sustainability Report's key topics are presented through the dual lens of their impact on and beyond Schrödinger.
Alex Schuman, head of corporate sustainability at Schrödinger, said that the material topics discussed in the report resulted from a comprehensive research process called a double materiality assessment. Completed in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, the assessment examined over 30 ESG topics and narrowed the list down to 12 material ESG topics that were most critical to the company and its stakeholders. Schrödinger now has a corporate sustainability roadmap that allows it to identify opportunities that align with its mission and key business objectives.
The release of Schrödinger's inaugural Corporate Sustainability Report is part of the company's ongoing commitment to providing transparency and accountability on corporate sustainability matters. Schrödinger intends to release annual updates to ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed about the company's progress against its corporate sustainability objectives.
