Rockwell Automation, Inc. has unveiled its 2023 Sustainability Report, outlining the company's progress in sustainability and its collaborative efforts within the manufacturing industry and global communities to bring about lasting impact and change.
Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Rockwell specialises in providing industrial automation and digital transformation solutions to manufacturers spanning over 100 countries.
“We’ve been improving the efficiency of industrial processes for more than 120 years, which includes making the most of scarce resources,” said Rockwell Automation Chairman & CEO Blake Moret. “Today, our technology and expertise help manufacturers in diverse industries address the complex challenge of making high-quality products at scale while minimising negative impacts on the environment.”
The report points out the importance of smart manufacturing technologies in achieving sustainability goals. Results from a survey in Rockwell's 8th annual State of Smart Manufacturing Report reveal that manufacturers focus on sustainability to improve efficiency.
The report showcases how Rockwell supports customer sustainability with innovative products and discusses its internal sustainability initiatives. It details progress toward Rockwell's 2030 goal of becoming carbon neutral and introduces new 2023 ESG initiatives, including participation in the UN Global Compact and the Science Based Targets initiative.
The report also highlights Rockwell's commitment to sustainable product design and initiatives addressing workforce shortages. It emphasises creating a skilled and engaged workforce comfortable with advanced manufacturing technology through partnerships with government, educational institutions, and industry.
