Nikkei Announces Collaboration With S&P Global Market Intelligence

Nikkei announced a new partnership with S&P Global Market Intelligence (SPGMI), a division of S&P Global, a global provider of information services and solutions known for its Capital IQ Pro comprehensive desktop solution.
SPGMI, DC Frontiers (DCF), a Singapore-based award-winning data technology business, and Nikkei Inc. have signed a new collaboration agreement. Nikkei raised its capital and has become DCF's largest shareholder; SPGMI will invest for the first time.
By strengthening its financial foundation, DCF will increase its engineering and sales resources. The collaboration will leverage AI technology to facilitate more effective use of data and news.
Nikkei and the Financial Times collaborated in 2018 to create scoutAsia, an Asia-focused platform. In 2019, DCF joined as a technical partner, bringing its AI capabilities to improve the machine processing of data and news articles.
Nikkei has amassed a vast library of knowledge on the global economy, industries, management, and technology. Its machine learning technology has enabled it to make a large amount of content available in English on time.
Overseas clients seeking greater access to information about the Japanese and Asian economies highly value the gathered content and technological advantage.
Today, challenges are arising across the global business and investment landscape, such as the increasing risk of supply chain disruptions and rising investor demand for ESG-related information.
Nikkei will increase the use of its content with the latest AI technology with the ultimate goal of delivering crossover analysis and observational insights on businesses.
Nikkei will actively promote tie-ups and cooperative work with overseas partners, specifically SPGMI, relating to content and news distribution, increasing global footprint, and solving client challenges related to supply chain, private markets, and sustainability, to introduce competitive solutions into the market quickly.
