In the pursuit of sustainable development, Monmilk embarked on the GREEN Sustainable Development Strategy in 2021, encompassing environmental, social, and governance facets, as well as a climate change strategy aimed at achieving carbon neutrality throughout the industry by 2050.

In 2023, Monmilk introduced the ambitious "Green Leadership" objective, which seeks to drive a reduction of 1 million tonnes of carbon emissions from partner farms by 2030, attain industry-leading carbon intensity, implement 100% green circular practices across all farms, enhance the health of 1 million mu of soil, transition all its factories into green facilities with 50% renewable clean energy utilisation, and ensure a zero-deforestation supply chain. These efforts reflect the company's commitment to leading the green and sustainable transformation of its industry.

In the realm of technological innovation, Monmilk has made significant strides in reducing carbon emissions at the farm level by introducing innovations like the manure recycling management system and clean energy technologies.

Digitisation has also played a pivotal role in enhancing efficiency and reducing consumption, thereby making carbon reduction more accessible. Furthermore, Monmilk's supply chain management initiatives have contributed to decreased deforestation and reduced carbon emissions associated with bulk commodity procurement.

In recent years, Monmilk has continually enhanced its management and performance in the realm of sustainable development.

In 2023, the company achieved several notable milestones, including its inclusion as a constituent stock of the Hang Seng Sustainable Development Enterprise Index for three consecutive years, securing the third position in the SASAC's "Central Enterprise ESG Vanguard 100 Index," being featured in the inaugural edition of the S&P Global "Sustainable Development Yearbook (China Edition)," and earning recognition from S&P Global as the "Best Progress Company in the Industry."

Looking ahead, Monmilk is committed to advancing its GREEN Sustainable Development Strategy comprehensively and striving to attain its all-encompassing "Green Leadership" goals. In doing so, the company aims to contribute significantly to more sustainable development and create substantial value for society at large.
