Fidelity International Appoints Ellie Tang as Director of Sustainable Investing

Fidelity's investment management arm has added a new sustainable investing specialist to its team in Hong Kong. Ellie Tang joins Fidelity International as director of sustainable investing.
Tang's responsibilities include integrating sustainability considerations into real estate investments; working closely with the research function on proprietary sustainability ratings; assisting investee companies with engagement and voting activities; and developing sustainability policies and product offerings.
Tang was most recently the chief of sustainability for New World Development, a Hong Kong real estate powerhouse. She formerly worked at Link Asset Management, a local real estate investment firm, and HSBC.
Fidelity International's Global Head of Stewardship and Sustainable Investing, Jenn-Hui Tan, said:
“I’m delighted to have Ellie on board as we continue to expand Fidelity’s sustainable investing capabilities. Real estate represents a key element of global efforts to reduce carbon emissions and implement sustainable solutions, and Ellie’s strong experience in this area, along with a background in sustainable financing, ESG integration, and disclosure, add further strength to our sustainable investing bench."
