SER Capital Partners (SER), a private investment business dedicated to sustainability, was represented by DLA Piper in closing its SER Capital Partners I, LP and affiliated vehicles. SER received $475 million in total, exceeding its stated target, to support its strategy of capitalising on middle-market renewable energy businesses and infrastructure assets.

The SER fundraising was backed by a diverse group of aligned and well-capitalised limited partners, including leading endowments, state pensions, insurers, health systems, and family offices. Already, the fund is supporting SER in direct investments in three portfolio companies: Microgrid Networks, Perfect Power, and Brightcore Energy. These companies together implement and maintain battery storage, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, energy efficiency, and solar assets.
