Cellnex, the primary European operator of wireless communications infrastructure, is reaffirming its strong commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles in its industry.

In a remarkable feat, the company has once again secured the top spot in the GRESB Infrastructure Public Disclosure 2023, marking the third consecutive year of this achievement.

Notably, Cellnex has improved its rating compared to the previous year by a substantial 1.2%, reaching an impressive score of 86 out of 100. The company maintains its prestigious "A" rating, the highest level in the GRESB ranking, outperforming the sector's average rating, which remains at "C."

Furthermore, Cellnex Netherlands and Cellnex Switzerland actively participated in the GRESB Infrastructure Asset Assessment, which assesses sustainability performance.

Cellnex Netherlands earned a perfect score of 100 out of 100, while Cellnex Switzerland, participating for the third time, has demonstrated significant progress, elevating its score by 14%, ascending from 78 to 88 points out of 100 within just three years.

Cellnex Netherlands excels particularly in the realm of governance, while Cellnex Switzerland achieves the highest score in the social domain.

Cellnex's exceptional performance in the GRESB rankings is most pronounced in the realm of disclosure, where it consistently surpasses the industry and outshines all competitors and participants across various subcategories. Specifically, the three top ratings are attributed to Cellnex's disclosure of sustainability governance, sustainability implementation, and stakeholder engagement practices.

The data generated by GRESB serves as a critical resource for countless capital providers and asset managers. It aids them in comparing investments within their portfolios and gaining deeper insights into the opportunities, risks, and crucial decisions required as the industry navigates towards a more sustainable and environmentally responsible future.
