BorgWarner, a leader in clean mobility solutions, has released its 2024 Sustainability Report, which shows its efforts towards a more sustainable future.

The company is committed to building a cleaner, energy-efficient world and is taking concrete steps to achieve its goals.

In 2023, BorgWarner achieved several sustainable goals:

  • Leading the Clean Mobility Charge: Electric vehicles (EVs) and emissions-reducing solutions now account for 87% of the company's revenue, establishing its position as a clean mobility leader.

  • Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction: Lowered its direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions by 32% from 2021, making major gains towards its ambitious goal of 85% reduction by 2030.

  • Supply Chain Sustainability: Engaging suppliers to lower supply chain emissions by 25% by 2030.

  • Harnessing Renewable Energy: Since 2022, BorgWarner has expanded its use of renewable energy by 48% through solar power installations at nine plants.

  • Minimising Waste: Exceeded its waste diversion goal, achieving a 92.8% waste diversion rate.

  • Investing in Employees: Promoted employee growth through leadership development, training, and promoting a strong sense of inclusion.

  • Supplier Collaboration: Over 81% of suppliers completed the sustainability assessment questionnaire, surpassing the company's target.
