Arch Remains Dedicated to Carbon Reduction

Arch Capital Group Ltd., a Bermuda-based public company, has published its 2022 sustainability reports.

These include the 2022 Sustainability Report, the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board, and the Task Force for Climate-related Financial Disclosures. Additionally, a document called the Sustainability Report Highlights provides an overview of important information contained in the larger reports.

Arch Capital Group Ltd. has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives in its 2022 Sustainability Report. The report outlines the company's ESG strategy and integration into operations across five pillars, including business, operations, investing, people, and communities.

Arch aims to grow speciality product lines while embedding corporate responsibility, ethical standards, and sustainable practices into underwriting and investment decisions.

The company's CEO, Marc Grandisson, stated that a pragmatic approach to underwriting risks is necessary to advance decarbonisation. In early 2022, Arch announced a goal to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% and achieve net-zero operations by 2030.

Marcy Rathman, the chief ESG officer, coordinates Arch's ESG efforts and leads the annual comprehensive sustainability reports.

The company provides insurance, reinsurance, and mortgage insurance globally through its wholly-owned subsidiaries and is part of the S&P 500 Index with approximately $15.6 billion in capital as of December 31.
