Amundi US has announced the launch of Amundi US Equity ESG Improvers SMA, an addition to its existing suite of US ESG strategies.

The actively managed strategy provides exposure to ESG-related growth potential by investing in firms that have adopted or will adopt a positive ESG trajectory within their operations, as well as companies that are now ESG leaders in their respective industries. The investment objective is to outperform the S&P 500.

Lisa Jones, President and CEO of Amundi US, and Head of the Americas said:

“As we continue to expand the breadth of ESG solutions tailored to different client segments in the US, we identified an opportunity to import an innovative strategy from Amundi’s ESG Improvers range of offerings available outside the US. This ESG Improvers strategy may appeal to US investors looking for a core ESG holding with the potential to participate in the upside of companies that are expanding their focus on ESG.”

Craig Sterling, Head of Equity Research, US, and a member of the team managing the strategy, said:

"We believe companies with a solid fundamental investment case, combined with a positive approach to ESGmay be well-positioned to drive alpha generation over time. This strategy is designed to bridge the gap between ESG momentum and financial performance.”

The strategy benefits from Amundi's extensive ESG research and Amundi US's team of highly experienced equity research analysts. The responsible investing team at Amundi consists of more than 45 specialists, and its ESG analysis covers more than 13,500 debt and equity issuers. As of June 30, 2022, Amundi controlled €793 billion in responsible investment assets worldwide.

The Amundi US Equity ESG Improvers SMA broadens the selection of ESG strategies available in the United States. Additional ESG-and climate-focused portfolios are now being developed for the U.S. market, utilising the vast resources of Amundi, which is renowned for its longstanding commitment to and leadership in responsible investment.
