York Sustainability Symposium 2024: Green Economy Symposium in York, UK (Sep 19, 2024)

Event Description

We will be hosting a sustainability symposium in York on 19 September 2024, bringing together local leaders from across the public, private and third sector in York and North Yorkshire to grow the green economy.

This event serves as a regional assembly where leaders from the public, private, and third sectors actively participate in practical discussions on how we can grow and strengthen the green economy in Yorkshire. Each roundtable in our Sustainability Symposiums involves leaders from anchor institutions, corporations, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), startups, and youth representatives and we will focus on 6 core topics in this discussion.

With our headline partners, York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, we’re digging into some of the most important topics surrounding the growth of the green economy in York and North Yorkshire. Each part of our region has different challenges and different solutions to the problems we face from climate change, and as such, we’ll discuss the frameworks needed in each region with leaders paving the way, to ensure that we have a just and swift transition to a green economy.
