Event Details
As a financial professional, it is becoming increasingly relevant to have sufficient knowledge about themes within the sustainability domain. Performing, checking and advising on sustainability analyzes and non-financial data is increasingly becoming part of the daily practice of financials. Specifically, it is important to know how companies should draw up a Green House Gas or CO2 footprint and what the usual standards are. But also how to check it. This one-day training goes into this in detail and is the ideal way to train yourself together with other financials under the inspiring leadership of Paul van Ruiten and Wiger Aantjes.
Program
The training day consists of:
1) An introduction to Green-House-Gasses (GHG).
2) A deep dive into the GHG protocol, the international standard for GHG footprint reporting.
3) Scoping: The entire value chain (scope 1, 2 and 3) is discussed. With ample attention to typical GHG emission sources and values.
4) Typical improvement measures to reduce GHG emissions.
5) Attention to controls where we teach you to experience orders of magnitude of emissions related to electricity consumption, transport, purchasing of material and waste processing.
The training alternates between theory, practical examples and assignments.
