Collaborating for Federal Climate Grants: City of Austin Workshop with CBOs

The City of Austin’s Office of Sustainability wants to bring together Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and other non-profits with City departments in a workshop to discuss how we can partner together to help implement Austin’s Climate Equity Plan. Upcoming federal grants through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) offer historic grant funding opportunities in areas that support the plan, including in buildings and electricity, transportation and land-use, electric vehicles, and climate resilience.

The City wants to partner with organizations like yours to pursue these opportunities and develop and implement projects to support climate equity. The workshop will be an opportunity for us to identify opportunities, talk about what makes a successful grant application, and discuss opportunities to collaborate.

In preparation for the workshop, we would like to host virtual listening sessions ahead of the workshop on September 22nd to better understand your organization's priorities, abilities, and potential project ideas
