Event Details

At the summit, you'll have the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, sustainability experts, and organizations committed to making a positive impact on our environment. Through engaging discussions, interactive breakout sessions, and inspiring presentations, CEC aims to educate and empower attendees to take meaningful action within our local communities.

You'll hear from community entrepreneur Ivy Walls, who after working with the CDC, recognized her hometown was a food desert and returned to start an urban farm in the Houston Sunnyside neighborhood. Walls was recognized by Beyonce's BEYGood Foundation and with the NAACP was awarded a grant to support her efforts and she has since gone on to open Fresh Houwse grocery.

Award-winning columnist Chris Tomlinson from the Houston Chronicle will serve as the lunch keynote speaker. Frequently writing about the intersection of business, energy and policy, Tomlinson has been outspoken about the industry's impact on climate change. The speaker presentations will be followed by breakout sessions on special "Table Topics" ranging from careers in the environmental field to women in agriculture. Whether you're a student, professional, or simply passionate about environmental issues, this event is for you.

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to network, learn, and contribute to a greener future for Houston.
