  • The plans include developing bunkering infrastructure in Dubai, India, and Southeast Asia to facilitate the supply of green fuels from AM Green's plants.

  • Help India achieve its green energy goals and global decarbonisation targets by making green fuel supply more accessible in global markets.

AM Green, a Hyderabad-based leading producer of green hydrogen and ammonia, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DP World, a global leader in supply chain solutions, to make India an international hub for the production and export of green fuels and chemicals.

The agreement between the companies aims to reduce carbon emissions. AM Green is working tirelessly to decarbonise India. They specialise in producing green hydrogen, ammonia, and other sustainable fuels using green energy sources like solar, wind, and hydroelectric power.

The primary goal of this collaboration is to export 2 million tonnes of green fuels each year, which include 1 million tonnes of green ammonia and 1 million tonnes of green methanol. To this end, the companies will jointly develop storage and logistics facilities across different regions.

The infrastructure development plans include building ports, developing bunkering, and establishing strategic terminals.

Mahesh Kolli, Founder, Greenko Group & AM Green, said: “We are committed to contributing to India’s ambition of emerging as a green energy exporter and we are excited to partner with DP World to build a world-class infrastructure for the global movement of green molecules. This strategic partnership will enable us to efficiently export green Ammonia, green methanol, and other sustainable fuels, enhancing the global green supply chain and supporting the global shift to a low-carbon economy.”

AM Green's target is to produce 5 million tonnes of green fuels annually by 2030. The company has already approved investments for a 1 million tonne-per-year Green Ammonia plant in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Yuvraj Narayan, Group Deputy CEO and CFO, DP World Group, said: “DP World aims to be essential to the future of global trade, ensuring everything it does has a long-lasting positive impact on economies and societies. As part of our commitment to driving sustainable supply chains, partnering with AM Green allows us to harness our expertise in logistics and infrastructure to facilitate the global distribution of clean fuels and chemical products. Together, we aim to play a pivotal role in enabling a low-carbon economy and advancing global sustainability goals.”
