  • Redbrick is now a Certified B Corporation.

  • One of the only tech companies in British Columbia to have B Corp status.

Redbrick, a portfolio of software companies, has announced that they have become a certified B Corporation (B Corp).

This is the end of a long certification process and shows Redbrick’s commitment to social and environmental impact in tech.

They are one of the only tech firms in British Columbia to be B Corp certified, and the status is a result of the work of their portfolio companies, Animoto, Delivra, Leadpages, and Shift.

The company acknowledges that climate change and social inequality are big problems, and the tech industry is part of those problems. They want to redefine what it means to be a tech company by being responsible, sustainable, and leading by example in the industry.

“We’re focused on leading by example, and we want to show the world, especially other tech companies, that business can be purposeful and profitable. Becoming a B Corp means Redbrick has made a binding commitment to social and environmental leadership, but it’s a direction that we were already headed in and really passionate about, so if anything, B Corp brings our vision for the future into focus,” said Tobyn Sowden, CEO of Redbrick.

Since 2011, Redbrick has been all about innovation and helping entrepreneurs adopt sustainable practices. They promote inclusion and diversity in tech through wellness days, volunteer opportunities, health benefits, and educational programmes.

They also put a portion of their profits towards advancing these goals and sustainable business practices. The company has been named one of Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers for five years running, which shows their supportive and inclusive workplace.

Redbrick and its portfolio companies are creating a path for future businesses to follow and integrate sustainable practices for a healthy planet and people.
